 Kuronuei is fairly modest about his appearance. He doesn't wear anything too flashy and too gaudy to attract too much attention. He tends to stay within the neutral colors of his wardrobe with dark earth tones like greens, blacks, dark reds, grays, so on and so forth. Kuronuei doesn't do too much with his hair except maybe run his fingers through it every now and again, usually letting it do what it wants when he first rolls out of bed and attempts to take a brush to it after bathing. Other than that, he doesn't do much with his appearance simply because he's good looking enough without having to go overboard. After all, looks aren't really what he's trying to get others to pay attention to in regards to his physical aspect. Kuronuei is a force to be reckoned with. Though his slender frame may fool the average bystander into thinking that he's not able to defend himself, one would think twice whenever he unleashes his “Gentle Fist” technique. Kuronuei smiles, but not as frequently as most would like to believe.

He's strictly military-mannered and rarely ever is seen slacking off. Idle hands, as they say. Kuronuei hates lazing about. If he's not on duty, training, or on patrol, he’s triple checking his inventory and making sure all of his supplementary items are in top condition. Because of his dislike for senseless violence, Kuronuei has found himself being the middle man in a fight of complete strangers (that, or he's dragging his hot-headed friends away by the scruff of their necks). He rarely speaks unless spoken to and will only talk just enough to answer a question or to divulge enough information to satisfy the person he's talking to. Other than that, he's not much for idle chatter either. Time was better spent doing something constructive like training, reading, or maintaining order (ie, keeping the Tsuchikage out of trouble). It was just that simple. He'd adopted the way of the Shinsen Gumi: “Slay Evil Immediately.” You could think of Kuronuei Hyuuga as being a sort of “samurai” ninja. Yes. That would be the best way to describe him, wouldn't it? However, buried deep within that organized and structured heart lies a sense of overwhelming guilt that will occasionally leave Kuronuei struggling to maintain his breathing in his sleep or causes him to shed tears from sorrow. The death of his father, and the fact that he now has his father’s eyes, will always remain engraved on his heart and he will sometimes feel the need to completely lock himself away in his room or go off and train; hoping that with each powerful strike of his attacks, he'll be able to forget the bitterness, anger, and remorse that has managed to burrow inside of his soul. Description: The widely known technique, Byakugan is a doujutsu with an unmatched level of vision. When activated, it allows the user to see in every direction at the same time, with only a small blind spot at some angle above their back. More than that, it allows one to scan wide areas by letting them see through objects and over a distance of up to ten miles. Finally, they can detect chakra even better than the Sharingan, capable of seeing even the chakra circulatory system of living creatures. However, Byakugan does not have the Sharingan's ability to detect and anticipate high-speed movement.
While the Byakugan only has one stage, the level of power between its general level and that which only a few can achieve is vast. Generally, mastering this doujutsu yields all the same powers to a clan member, with only one tiny difference, which creates a large gap in power as a result. This difference is the ability to see tenketsu, special regulatory points in one's chakra circulatory system. By attacking these points with Jyuuken, the Hyuuga can affect the flow of chakra in their opponent's body without limit. With that said, they cannot be attacked without being able to see them, which is the reason why two Hyuugas of the same average skill level can have entirely different combat power.

Description: Rumored to be the strongest taijutsu style in existence, Gentle Fist is an effective killing technique. Unlike a common taijutsu style, it is not based on speed and strength, but solely speed, which allows its practitioners to have more specialization. The style's blows are weak, but they deal exceptional damage because the style is based on attacking the chakra circulatory system. The Hyuuga are able to release chakra from every opening on their body, unlike normal shinobi, and they can see their enemy's chakra circulatory system, which allows this style to be effectively used. By attacking it, the clan members can deal damage to their opponent's internal organs and disrupt their chakra flow. Since it uses chakra to attack, ordinary defensive measures are rendered useless. Stronger shinobi can make it work even through armor, but it can't be used to damage chakra system at all unless the user's hand connects with the target.

Description: Henge no Jutsu is a ninjutsu technique which every ninja learns at the Ninja Academy. Henge allows the ninja to transform themselves into any person or object. This allows the ninja to move with stealth or to trick their opponents. However, it does not grant one the properties of said objects or skills of that person, meaning turning into a weapon will not allow you to cut an opponent and turning into a dog will not give you a great sense of smell.
This technique can also be used in conjunction with someone, who may a person, a pet or a summoning creature, in which case it is called Konbi Henge (Combination Transformation). However, its principles remain the same.

Description: Kawarimi no Jutsu is a basic Ninjutsu technique, and when in danger the ninja will quickly substitute them self with another nearby object. This can be a block of wood or even another person. This allows the ninja to quickly flee and hide while the original object takes the brunt of their opponents attack. Naturally, it won't work with another person unless their skill gap is enormous, and the object to replace one’s self with must be close in size and weight to the ninja themselves. This technique must be setup a little ahead when fighting skilled opponents; otherwise, you may end up getting struck because you wouldn't have enough time to use it.

Description: A skill that every self-respecting shinobi must have. It is based on concentrating chakra to the soles of one's feet and using it to stick to objects, which would allow one to walk on vertical surfaces and even upside down. This is also often used as chakra control training, since the soles of the feet are said to be the hardest place to control your chakra.

Description: A more advanced technique than Kinobori, it allows one to walk on water or other similar liquid or amorphous objects. It is often used as advanced chakra control training, since it takes the same basic concept as tree climbing technique and kicks it up a notch.

Description: A basic technique of the Hyuuga clan, it creates small blades of chakra protruding from the user's fingers. However, since the needles are thin and short, it can only create minor wounds even on a fully landed strike.

This can protect them from weaker attacks, though mostly of the physical type, but must be timed well in order to have the desired effect without wasting a lot of chakra.

Description: This ninjutsu technique creates multiple copies of the user. The difference it has with any other clone technique is that it creates solid copies who possess the full physical and jutsu ability of the user and they are indistinguishable from the real person by any means, since they even have the chakra circulatory system. These clones are also fully autonomous, meaning they can move however far away from the shinobi they want and not dispel. Unfortunately, they still disappear after taking a hit. This technique, while powerful, poses a risk to the user, since it splits their remaining chakra evenly between all clones and themselves. Another notable thing about this technique is that the user gains whatever knowledge their shadow clones have collected when they dispel.
Tajuu Kage Bunshin is the same as normal Kage Bunshin, only it is used to create a higher number of clones: while the basic technique is limited to a maximum of four clones, the multiple shadow clone technique can create up to two dozen clones. However, chakra is still split evenly between each copy of the user, so creating many clones may prove more harmful than beneficial.

Description: This technique is extremely simple in its execution, and just as weak. By releasing a bit of chakra from their palm as they attack, the Hyuuga can create a "force wave" that is capable of pushing enemies backwards and works at a long distance as well. However, the damage dealt by this technique itself is practically non-existent, and the knock back can be almost entirely negated by shinobi who manage to stay firmly on the ground.
A stronger variation of this jutsu is Hakke Hasangeki. Unlike Kuushou that creates a spherical wave of about seven feet in diameter, Hasangeki releases a thin stream of about only one foot, but at greater speed. It is also more like a physical strike, and in itself has the damage potential of a heavy punch. Since it has more force, deals actual, although relatively light, damage and affects an area of the body rather than the whole, thus creating imbalance in the target's stance, it can push targets much farther back.

Description: Using their ability to release chakra through every opening on their body, the Hyuuga have developed a powerful technique that can be used for both defense and offense. Doing as the same thing as in Chakra Burst, they will spin in one place at a rapid rate using chakra in their feet, thus creating a spherical barrier of chakra around them. Thanks to the rotation, it can deflect stronger attacks than it normally would be able to, while also requiring a manageable amount of chakra. This technique can block any simple physical attack, any genjutsu if executed in time, A common or B kinjutsu rank elemental ninjutsu and B rank and below non-elemental ninjutsu. Chakra-enhanced taijutsu counts as non-elemental ninjutsu and, depending on how much it relies on chakra and in what way, can be easier to defend against. In case Kaiten is broken, depending on the jutsu that was used against it, it may cause an explosion of chakra, in which case the Hyuuga and everything close to the broken technique's borders suffers some minor damage, in addition to other results of their actions. While it isn't very powerful, this barrier of chakra also has a damage output, since it acts like a solid spinning barrier for physical objects. Normally, the sphere is slightly larger than the user themselves, but with additional chakra used, it can increase in size to cover an area of up to twenty feet of them

Description: This is an advanced skill for breaking genjutsu, however, no shinobi should be without it. It allows one to break illusions without hurting themselves, does not require any hand seals and works against stronger techniques than Kai. Since every genjutsu in essence is the opponent confusing one's five senses by interfering with their chakra flow in a specific way, momentarily stopping your chakra flow completely and then reversing it, which is what this skill is about, can break theoretically any illusion. Naturally, one's skill in controlling their chakra determines how well this will work.
Allows one to break a genjutsu of S rank or below. For the lower rank characters, genjutsu of A rank or below take one whole post to break, while genjutsu of S rank take two posts. For higher rank characters, genjutsu of A and S rank take a whole post to break, while genjutsu of B rank and below take half a post. Kinjutsu genjutsu require twice as much time, though only higher rank characters can break A rank kinjutsu, and none can break S rank kinjutsu.

Description: Juuho Soushiken is a Taijutsu, and quite fearsome in execution. After gathering chakra to the fists, the user will skillfully spin towards her target to avoid attack and strike them. Spectral lion heads will then form around her fists. The attack does damage so intense that when connected, can cause internal bleeding as well as short-term damage to the organs, causing the opponent to bleed from the nose, mouth, and even the ears and eyes sometimes.

Description: A powerful taijutsu technique of the Hyuuga clan, it uses chakra to greatly increase the speed of attacks executed by someone, in addition to the common Jyuuken technique. It has three levels and two variations, the first being attacking someone with open palms and the second being striking them precisely with two fingers, which allows one to affect tenketsu. Of course, the second variation is impossible to properly pull off without the ability to see said points, and while it deals less damage generally, it is more potent in battle. This technique allows one to quickly assault anyone within the "divination field",which is ten, fifteen and twenty feet for the first, second and third levels respectively. This technique is basically an insane combo consisting of several stages. The first stage is two strikes, the second stage is four, the third is eight, the fourth is sixteen. The fifth stage, which is also the final stage for the first level of this technique, consists of thirty-two strikes, the sixth, being the last for second level, of sixty-four and the seventh, which is the highest stage for the master level, of one hundred and twenty-eight; these three numbers are how the technique got its name. This makes for a total of sixty-two, one hundred twenty-six and two hundred fifty-four strikes at the first, second and final levels respectively. As the combo progresses, the speed at which attacks are executed increases as well, the time frame for each following stage being just a tiny margin longer than for the previous one while the number of blows doubles.Naturally, while the attack's speed is great, the power behind each blow is quite low. However, because of the Jyuuken, the lack of physical damage dealt by the blows themselves doesn't matter.

To explain where Kuronuei's roots originated from, the story must start from where his father's began. Sakon Hyuuga had never been completely aware of just where it was he came from. According to the story his mother told him, he had been born into the branch family. Knowing fully just what being a member of the Hyuuga Branch Family entailed, Sakon’s mother fled Konohagakure and took refuge in the land of the Waterfall ninja. Though many ninja from the Hyuuga family were ordered to find out where Yuka disappeared to – her husband being amongst them – they were unable to locate her. Keeping herself hidden nearly killed her as she was forced to keep her chakra pool below visibility lest the Byakugan used by the clan be able to find her and drag her back to the household against her will. The search continued for a little while longer, but when Sakon was eight years old, Yuka's seal was activated and she was killed. Sakon did not know what had caused his mother’s death. Left on his own to fend for himself, Sakon was taken in under the tutelage and care of a Jounin named Imari. Imari was a gentle woman and knew of the Hyuuga line. Being friends with Yuka helped things and so where Sakon's mother could not explain his lineage and power, it was Imari’s duty to guide him through it. Soon, Sakon graduated from the Ninja Academy. Within a few short months of being a Genin, he passed his Chuunin exams with flying colors and was well on his way to becoming a Jounin. After achieving the rank of Jounin, Sakon knew that he wanted to travel different countries and see the world. Maybe even obtain the rank of Sanin one day. He didn’t think he had what it took to become a full fledged Kage. So, Sakon did just that. He traveled from country to country, learning what he could and expanding his skills. It was during this time that he met the woman who took both his heart and breath away. Her name was Natsumi and she was a ninja from Otogakure, well on her way to becoming a full-fledged medical-nin. The two immediately were fond of each other and within a few short months were married and Natsumi gave birth to their son, Kuronuei. Kuronuei was born blind. Even though his bright blue eyes shown with such light and happiness, the boy could only see complete darkness. This broke Sakon and Natsumi’s hearts so there was only one thing that could be done. Sakon gave his son his right eye. The world was full of color and light and so many other different things Kuronuei had not been aware of before then. Though only with one eye, Kuronuei didn't mind. He thought that his blue and white eyes off-set each other wonderfully and so he attended the Ninja Academy without any thought about it. It was at the Ninja Academy he would meet his best friend and the future Otokage, Enishi Myoujin. The first time he encountered Enishi, the boy was fighting against a larger group of genin who refused to leave him alone. Teased and taunted him because he was just a poor boy. Without any thought of what his actions would lead to, Kuronuei immediately got involved in the scrap and the two got the crap kicked out of them. Furious with Kuronuei, Enishi yelled that it was not his problem and he had no right to get involved. Irritated, the two boys fought and both were too worn out to continue. They missed their first day at the Ninja Academy together. Eventually, the two become very good friends and saw each as often as they could. Their time at the Ninja Academy flew so fast under their feet that they barely knew it had even happened. It was during this time that Kuronuei learned of the power his right eye could cause him to have. His mother, Natsumi, was aware and began informing her husband of the details. He promised to start training their son of the Byakugan techniques right away and Kurnouei was able to discover the powerful things his "Byakugan," though limited to just his right eye, could do. Graduation was upon them, but unfortunately Kuronuei’s father could not be present to see his son become a genin. He was an Anbu for the Otokage at that time and was sent off on a dangerous mission. That week before meeting with their teams, Kuronuei and Enishi spend as much time as they possibly could together. During that week, Kuronuei’s father was brought back…dead. Natsumi took his death very hard, but Kuronuei didn’t know what to think. His father was gone and there was still so much that he wanted to know. Kuronuei took his father’s left eye and replaced his other blind eye with his father’s. He could now see everything around him and the world that had been displaced on his left side. Crying at his father’s grave is where Enishi found him. Not wanting for his friend to be miserable on their last day together before splitting off into their teams, Enishi took his friend to a nearby waterfall and showed him the fireflies. It was at this moment that Kuronuei realized just how important and precious his friendship with Enishi was. "Make a wish, Kuronuei," Enishi said. "These are wishing fireflies. If you make a wish on them, in seven years, your wish will come true."Kuronuei didn't know what to think, but he made his wish anyway. He wanted to be by Enishi's side forever. The two parted ways and went off with their respective Genin teams. His teacher, Jounin Ginta, and his team mates, Oboro and Zanza, were his close friends. They both had goals they wished to achieve in Sound. Zanza wanted to travel the world, working and obtaining as many summon contracts as he could. Oboro wished to create powerful weapons and sell them to the highest bidder and her creations were, indeed, quite impressive. Kuronuei had no real goal in his life or direction. He just wished to be wherever Enishi was – doing things with his best friend like they used to. When they returned to Sound Village after passing the Chuunin exams, for Ginta felt that training and taking on missions in different countries was more appropriate, Kuronuei immediately searched out his friend. Turned out that Enishi's father was getting worse in health and so his friend wished to become an Anbu. Without a moment’s thought about it, Kuronuei began training for the Jounin exams so he could become an Anbu alongside his best friends. Both passed their Jounin exams with flying colors and immediately began training for their acceptance into the rank of Anbu. The first couple of years were okay, but like Enishi, Kuronuei didn't like how things were being done under the Kage at that time. But unlike Enishi, Kuronuei kept his mouth shut on most matters. His mouth was shut, but his ears were always open and what he heard, he didn’t like in the least. Enishi, while away on a mission at Iwagakure, was unaware of the plot the Sound Shadow was planning upon his return. But Kuronuei figured it out and tried to warn his best friend's family. However, they had already anticipated this and so to keep him from saving them, they held Kuronuei's mother hostage. He had his hands tied and could do nothing. Enishi soon returned and found the blood bath that awaited him. Kuronuei was separated from his best friend once again when Enishi fled to Fire Country. He could do nothing. Natsumi was still being held hostage. The day before Enishi's assault on the Otokage's fortress, Kuronuei's mother managed to escape and killed herself before her son’s eyes. She didn't want him being held back from doing the right thing simply because of her. She’d lived her life and seen her son grow into the person he was now. He would do the right thing from now on, no matter what and nothing would chain him down from it. Mere hours before the assault on Otogakure, Kuronuei got wind that Enishi was back in Rice Field Country and met up with him by the waterfall they had wished on the fireflies at. His wish was now coming true. He would be by his friend’s side forever. The two launched their assault on the Otokage, Kuronuei taking care of the outside perimeter while Enishi destroyed all the ninja who faced against him inside. By the early morning of the next morrow, Enishi had destroyed the Otokage and fled to Iwagakure and Kuronuei left Sound Village so that he could be by Enishi's side. A few years have passed since that day. Kuronuei watched Enishi climb up in ranks until his best friend was the new Kage of Earth Village and he was his Anbu Captiain. Kuronuei Hyuuga, though exasperatingly following after his friend and making sure that the Kage was both safe and making good decisions with the country, never regretted the decision he made. After all, Enishi was his best friend and both were the only family either of them had left…and that was all that mattered.

[b]Description:[/b] This is an advanced skill for breaking genjutsu, however, no shinobi should be without it. It allows one to break illusions without hurting themselves, does not require any hand seals and works against stronger techniques than Kai. Since every genjutsu in essence is the opponent confusing one's five senses by interfering with their chakra flow in a specific way, momentarily stopping your chakra flow completely and then reversing it, which is what this skill is about, can break theoretically any illusion. Naturally, one's skill in controlling their chakra determines how well this will work.
Allows one to break a genjutsu of S rank or below. For the lower rank characters, genjutsu of A rank or below take one whole post to break, while genjutsu of S rank take two posts. For higher rank characters, genjutsu of A and S rank take a whole post to break, while genjutsu of B rank and below take half a post. Kinjutsu genjutsu require twice as much time, though only higher rank characters can break A rank kinjutsu, and none can break S rank kinjutsu. | |
