Appearance:
Wearing mostly earthly tones, Shin sets himself apart from others by dying one half of his hair a bright green color, having his natural white tones tail down with a stylishly awkward rat-tail. His bright green eyes compliment the hair quite well and he could be considered attractive for his age, but not above anything ever seen before. Shin's clothing consists of a stylish t-shirt, green in color with a small cloud design on the right shoulder, small bandages on his arms, and a pair of slack-like ninja pants. Most people can tell by the way he dresses he's from a coastal area, which is even more easily identifed by his ninja headband, which shows the whirlpool villages symbol. Shin is always seen smiling... always.

Personality: Shins a very outgoing individual, harboring a dark secret he has already come to terms with the fact that he's dying. Shin never allows himself to let other people see him suffer, and instead does his best to see others succeed and smile, often making him appear to be some kind of class clown, although this is far from the truth. Shin is a very intelligent person when it comes to solving puzzles and using wits beyond his years in doing so, but when it comes to the written word and even basic math he seems to fail miserably, strangely he doesn't seem to find this a weakness. When Shins alone he tends be self-reflective, using moments without others to release built-up stress, it helps get by while publicly viewable.
Loving to goof around has its downsides and Shin has found himself scolded many times, he's become somewhat resistant to interrogation in this way and often laughs at people trying to pry information out of him, especially when it comes to his health. Shin is not fond of people looking after him, which conflicts with injury and medical ninja, often refusing to let them help.
Loving to eat Ramen Noodles and Chocolate Shin finds himself in a surprisingly good shape, although he hates all forms of sweet things... except chocolate, and chocolate cake, and chocolate ice-cream, and chocolate truffle and... yeah, you get it.

Name: Kokushibyou (黒死病 Black Death)

Description: Kokyshibyou 黒死病, is one of it not the most versatile virus even seen in the Shinobi world. The conditions of contracting the virus are unknown to the humans, but it isn't something you can catch. During the birth of a human they are kept within the mothers womb, this is the only point in which the extremely weak Kokushibyou has a chance at infecting them. If the child is infected they will carry the virus the rest of their life as it has no cure, and persists in the body until it turns to dust. The virus itself matures over a process of ten years, making its non-existence in children a mystery to the human race, this has also acted as some kind of defense mechanism, as it prevented doctors and scientists from even thinking to look at possible infection in youth, while the virus is weak.
Once the virus has matured it begins to rot the innards of the infected very slowly, corroding the individual over time. The virus' manifestation is seem through periods of unrest for the infected, often causing them to burst out in coughing fits, exhaustion and when really bad, blood in the stomach. (Which comes visible with the coughing). The longest recorded person to live with the virus was thirty six years old, and they took the road of a very easy and relaxed life, speculated to have lengthened the virus' usual killing speed of twenty five years.

Background:
Shin's past is filled with voids, a trauma involving his parents deaths took away all memory of what happened before his tenth birthday, and as such he isn't even sure why he wears the headband of a village that was destroyed many years ago, assuming he has some connection to ninja descendant. For all of Shin's known life he has lived in Sunagakure with a man named Otaki. Otaki is an old puppet merchant and the reason for Shin's specialization in the area, having taken an interest in his earliest memories. He often asked Otaki about his past, but the man always responded, "Its not worth your ears or my time".
Shin's damaged memory didn't seem to hurt his progression through the ninja academy, joining at an older age and propelling through the classes like the greatest winds the of the desert itself. There was praise and acknowledgment for Shins obvious potential right until a fateful day during the twelfth year of his life. Shin was struck down during training by an unknown illness, quickly diagnosed by the Sunagakure doctors as the deadly Kokushibyou 黒死病 (Black Death). The fact that no one had ever even survived the tragic virus left Shin outcast, people left him alone in fear it might be contagious, and he avoided people, trying to come to terms with death itself. Shin actually left the village for a time 'soul-seeking' to see if he could ever find meaning in life again, and returning without finding anything at all came to his realization. Shin's realization was a year ago, in which he decided to stop living for himself, for he was already dead, instead he lives for others, doing his best to support the village and its citizens in any way he can find. Shin started to gain repour once again, but he's still thought of with ill will due to the nature of his disease.
Upon Shins return Otaki had passed away, but the shop was still up and willed to Shin. He opens it Seasonally now, repairing and building puppets for up and coming Shinobi.
